You know how you tend to push very hard forward on the L-stick when playing this game?Well what happens is eventually you digg this "trench" in lack of better words LoL into the L-stick because you push it up against the outher rim,and you end up with a seriously compromised steering.Yesterday I just happened to noticed that I have more or less digged myself 1/3 of the way through into the central core, and that it was seriously affecting the steering because I had to move it across this big flatspot, and sort of digg it out of the trench when adjusting for the corners,so I had to skip that trustet old controller, and take out my other one(the even older one I had from before),and now I seriously think that I might not ever be able to match my old PS's,or that it will be years if I ever do so.The steering is a lot better, and im quickly getting used to that, but I seriously cant brake for s**t LoL On my old controller I used to be able to brake very hard, and now the initial braking is completly diffrent, and much too hard, and as a result all my braking is completly messed up.On my old controller I had that braking square-button spring massed up just right but on this new one im nowhere near my old level of performance, and on my best try im like 1.5s of on the first split 7-8s at Glen Helen, and so on,and I simply cant do it with this one.I'v considered going back to having both brakes unitet, but then I cant brake as late as I used to and I can forget about matching those PB's |

| OK,I spent a couple of hours on the game last night, and it looks like my new(old)controller might come around if I start using it on a regular basis. You know I had that thing just laying around for 5-6 years just collecting dust, and I probable just needed to give it a real workout LoL Anyway it seems to be slowly comming around, and im starting to be able to modulate the braking force better.I couldent really do that at first, hence the panic, and I whould end up on my face when all I wantet was to slightly adjust my entryspeed.Anyway it looks like everything is going to turn out OK,and probable better in the long run,as that controller I was using had seriously seen its best days behind it LoL |

Slight change of plans.I'v deside to go back yet again to my worn out controller despite that big trench, and with the results i,v gotten on the other one,im starting to think that it might be more of an advantedge than a disadvantedge. You can say i'v got that controller broken in LoL My results did get a little better, but still not quit to my satisfaction, and when I went back I imidiatly startet hit those old splits.I dident quit make it all the way home, but I did manedge to stay ahead of my PB until Sulby, and im confident I should be able to top it,if the controller doesent brake first LoL Hopefully it wont.It doesent look like it can get much worse really.Anyway I guess this has turned into just a sad story about a controller going nowhere, and I can see how it can be hard to care, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway |
